About 50 years later, California may finally break records as a massive storm sits above California dropping buckets of rain. This much needed storm may help the California drought and infiltrate the stormwater to replenish groundwater supplies.
Residents are piling sandbags around their homes to help prevent flooding and mudslides. Even cities have rushed to clean their storm sewers in the past two days that have been impacted with hardened silt. This could be the biggest rain storm of 2014. The storm could drop anywhere from 4 to 8 inches in Southern California.
