The nation’s largest stormwater convention, StormCon, will be in Austin, TX this year from August 2-6. While it may come as a surprise to many that the stormwater industry has it’s own conference and exposition, it has gained in popularity each year. Aside from learning about new technologies in the industry, StormCon is an opportunity for stormwater BMP manufacturers like Torrent Resources to hear what regulatory agencies are learning. By better understanding the needs and challenges of Stormwater Managers for various cities, counties and states throughout the country, Torrent Resources is better able to update their product offerings, namely the MaxWell line of drywells, to meet the demand.
Year in and year out, stormwater infiltration is one of the key topics at StormCon. This should come as no surprise as everyone recognizes that throwing away stormwater is no longer an option. This isn’t just limited to drought stricken states like Arizona and California. Every single state in the country is adopting stricter stormwater guidelines to treat rain as the valuable resources that it is. Oregon, Washington, Utah and New Mexico are just a handful of the many states currently proposing stronger stormwater regulations.
Representatives from Torrent Resources will be in Austin, TX for the conference and will be sharing what they learn at www.torrentresources.com and on their twitter feed, https://twitter.com/torrent_maxwell.
