Recently, I was speaking to our architect discussing the horrendous difficulties we encountered in the entitlement process for our apartment project in Ontario, CA. You will recall, our major challenge in proceeding with the project was imposed on us by the Regional Water Quality Board. Their demand on our project was to devise a method that would result in the prevention of additional storm water runoff exiting the property after development. Because our site sloped away from the storm drain system and was vacant acreage, this meant 100% of anticipated storm water was to be retained on site. And, the threshold of determining the quantity of runoff was to be calculated by the measure of a “100 Year Storm Event.”

Understanding we had not previously been required to address such a situation in other developments, neither our engineer, architect, or ourselves knew how to approach the problem. To our good fortune after searching many alternatives, including, giving up on the endeavor, we became aware of the MaxWell Drywells. After contacting you and establishing a conversational knowledge of the product, we became comfortable expending the time and redesigning the site to include the MaxWell Plus system. Your continued efforts to educate us on the quality and performance of the system gave us enthusiasm to persevere and offer it as the solution to our dilemma. The City agreed with the concept and required we prove its performance.

We took your advice and installed the system. The Torrent field personal performed as advertised with superior efficiency and professionalism. They were extremely courteous and informative of the process. The installation was completed promptly, on the day it was scheduled. Finally, under the supervision of a geologist, percolation testing was conducted and the results proved the system would accommodate in excess of 200% of the theoretical requirement!!!

You can bet we were amazed. Not only did the MaxWell Plus system solve the problem; we attribute it to saving our investment!!! We are now proceeding to construct the apartments and feel compelled to thank you and your company for the invaluable contribution you have made to our business.

Mark-Taylor has had the pleasure of working with Kevin White and Torrent Resources for more that ten years. Torrent is a subcontractor who doesn't require constant monitoring from our project superintendent, and thus frees his time for other tasks.
