As members of the growing Phoenix community, Torrent reserves a few days out of the year to venture out and participate in a day of volunteer work. While coordinating the volunteer day, Human Resources/Office Manager Rebecca Keys mentioned, “It was very surprising to find that there are not many volunteer opportunities in the Phoenix area that offer an assistance to veterans.”
Luckily, Keys was able to locate a Veteran owned and operated food bank, Resurrection Street Ministry, tucked away in the East Valley. Not only do Resurrection Street Ministry help Veterans but they also have programs that assist Senior Citizens and local community members. Yesterday (June 16, 2016) the accounting team doubled down to pack 240 boxes full of food for Veterans.
The passion for helping Veterans resonates among the Torrent team and is why Keys sought after a way for Torrent to give back to local Veterans.
“As the wife of a Marine Corps. Veteran and also having many friends who are Veterans, it is a cause close to my heart.” -Rebecca keys
The coordinator for Resurrection Street Ministry expressed how thankful they were for Torrent’s help and how they would be excited to see us back again.

Thank you to the Torrent Accounting team for representing our company and taking time out of your busy day to help make a difference!
